We’ll be looking at tools during the course, so don’t rush out straightaway and buy things! Having the right set of tools makes a huge difference: you’ll be able to work more efficiently, more comfortably – and your plants will feel the benefit too.
Tools are a bit of an individual choice and will depend on your height, strength and preference. It’s worth getting good quality tools and my advice is to buy them, if possible, where you can try them rather than online. This way, you can see if they feel right to you.
Have a look at pages 270 – 275 of RHS How to Garden. And there’s some more information on secateurs in a separate post here, and I’ll be posting some more information about tools soon!
