“I approached “How does your garden grow” as I had recently retired and wanted advice redesigning and maintaining my garden. Margery helped me by introducing basic techniques as well as new ideas. The result has been an increase in knowledge , a massive improvement to my garden together with confidence to try new methods. I would recommend the gardening course to anyone wanting to increase their knowledge and improve their garden.” (Karen, Seaford)
“I loved our sessions. I found them really helpful” (Tina, Seaford)
I’m a professional gardener, working in a number of private gardens in and around the lovely town of Seaford, East Sussex. My qualifications include the Royal Horticultural Society’s Certificate in The Principles of Plant Growth, Propagation and Development, Garden Features, Plant Selection and Planning and Choice, Establishment and Maintenance of Garden Plants and Lawns. I garden, wherever possible, without using herbicides or pesticides and I’m public liability insured.
My gardening story:
I’ve always loved gardens and the outdoors. When I moved to Seaford with my family we got our first real garden and I started putting my gardening dreams in practice. I was finally able to give up my office job and have been working as a professional gardener ever since. It’s a privilege to be able to earn my living doing what I love!
I’ve got a special interest in trees (I’m Chair of Seaford Tree Wardens and have helped plant over 1,000 trees in the town), I’ve run a school gardening club and have also worked as a volunteer at the beautiful gardens in Michelham Priory.
I travel to most of my gardening jobs using my electric bike and trailer – you might see me out and about in town!
I hope to hear from you soon!
